For this competition, "architect" hereinafter refers to practicing or retired architects or architectural designers and "student architect" hereinafter refers to students currently enrolled in accredited architectural programs.
By submitting an entry, the architect or student architect attests that he/she is the creator of his/her submission. No other person may claim this design as their own, and the architect or student architect has not submitted on behalf of someone else.
Any false or misleading information the architect or student architect provides will lead to immediate disqualification from the competition.
The Next 100 Years Project reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with SUBMISSION GUIDELINES, or any architect or student architect in violation of the ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS set forth here.
The Next 100 Years Project, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or in violation of the rules. The Next 100 Years Project further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including but not limited to unauthorized interventions or technical failures of any sort.
The Next 100 Years Project is not responsible for (i) late, lost, incomplete, or unsubmitted entries; (ii) any telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (iii) any errors in transmission; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of The Next 100 Years Project that may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted; (v) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the contest.
The Next 100 Years Project will accept digital files only. An entry that follows all Submission Guidelines does not guarantee selection. Architect and student architect that submit will abide by the judge decisions as final.
By submitting an entry, architect or student architect agrees and holds harmless The Next 100 Years Project and respective directors, associates, and representatives from and against all actions, claims, and liabilities directly or indirectly related to his/her participation in competition, submission of materials, and/or acceptance in The Next 100 Years Project – Architect Edition.
By submitting an entry, the architect or student architect grants rights to The Next 100 Years Project for publication as part of The Next 100 Years Project – Architect Edition. in print and digital editions, as well as any print or digital materials for marketing of the project.
Architect or student architect will be credited for his/her entry in the event his/her entry is used in any print or digital materials for marketing of the project.
There is no compensation for submitted and/or selected entries. Architect or student architect whose entry is selected for The Next 100 Years Project will receive full acknowledgment for their entry in the digital book and any subsequent publications or representations of the book. In the event the book is printed, the architect or student architect will receive one (1) complimentary copy of the book shipped to their mailing address provided at registration. Architect or student architect retains ownership of his/her work.
